Dang… there ought to be a law against defending yourself (at least that’s how Chicago politicans look at it.)
I honestly think they want the restrictive gun laws to keep people from interfearing with the mob. Yes the MOB. You know those moderen day Al Capones would hate it if citizens told his protection racket thugs where to go, right? Can’t have those uppty citizens saying ‘no’.
“Once is happenstance. twice is coincidence. The third time it’s enemy action”
That is, if I was the type to listen to my “healthy” sense of paranoia. That is if any of this made any sense to pin on the anti-Civil-Rights crowd.
You know, I’d bet that if the Chicago District Attorney announced loud and proudly that “…these three people would never have a Jury convict them if their case went all the way to a fair trial, because self-defense is a civil right, so we’ve made it a policy decision not to prosecute in these types of cases…” I’m willing to bet we would see a noticeable dip in violent crime.
I, as a single people, and/or person, know more than one attorney. I don’t know how many guns they own, but I shall not guess toward the negative. I will admit, however, that I also know more than one mortician. I think I like them best, at least they seem to be honest.

It almost seems from the stories out of Chicago that self defense is an inherent human right that many individuals will not surrender to the state.
