More Disclose Stuff

A win? Well, we will see.

Who really sold out to who?

The Brady Campaign is not happy.

Dealing with the Devil

I can understand being pissed about the disclose act but NRA endorsing their A rated guy over the F rated guy is a no-brainer.

This deal smells like a trap. You know the kind you make for yourself but do not realize it until years down the road.

In a perfect world, I can get behind legislation that would force the disclosure of astroturf groups that are secretly funded by corporate personhood thingys while exempting true grassroots groups like the NRA. People, even in aggregate, ought to have more rights than corporations.

In practice, I’d be wary of what might be done with the DISCLOSE act.

And I sure as hell do not like the authors of this legislation.

Endorsing Strickland was just the icing on the cake for me. It’s becoming more and more apparent that the NRA doesn’t give a shit about anything but keeping the NRA in business.

On guns Strickland is good. You can’t argue that. Kasich voted for the Assault Weapons Ban twice, one to pass it, and once to vote against repealing it. He also voted for the Hughes Amendment to ban machine guns.

He might be regretting that now, but in that kind of race you go with the incumbent who has a record of supporting you, over the guy who’s just talking a good game now.

I wouldn’t blame you if you still voted for Kasich anyway, because other issues are more important to you. To me that’s totally understandable. If I were voting in Ohio I might even do the same thing. But NRA is doing the right thing endorsing Strickland.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
