Pizza Hut: Carry is OK
At least, in AZ:
The company that owns most of Southern Arizona’s Pizza Huts has reversed policy and is allowing customers to carry firearms into the restaurants if they are legal possessors.
Patrick McKinney, vice president of operations for Tucson-based Pizza Hut of Arizona, said he began reconsidering the company’s policy of prohibiting guns after reading a newspaper article about the state’s new concealed-carry law.
All these businesses allowing carry seems to be a trend. No doubt, the Brady Campaign will launch an assault.

Was this just a state-wide franchise ban?
I have not been in a Pizza Hut in years but I’ve never seen a sign up here in the North (but I’ve never seen a sign in any restaurant outside of shoe modeling venues by the Indy airport–uh, a friend told me).

But doesn’t the national chain still forbid their drivers from carrying? They need to fix that, too.

Full disclosure, I hate their pizza. Still what should be more important is they should no-longer ban employees with lawful carry permits from exercising their rights. IIRC that’s a national corporate policy. Nice when many bad neighborhoods treat Delivery people as walking ATMs that come with bonus greasy pizza.

Incidentally, this is a sure sign as any that we are winning: Pizza Hut’s management decided if you’re going to piss off a portion of your customer base no matter what you do, then it’s better to piss of the small one instead of the large one.

I’m sure that they still do. I stopped going to pizza hut a few years back for that reason, when they fired some of their delivery folks for defending their lives. Their pizza aint that great anyway so no loss.

SB, the ban in those places are meant mostly for NFL players.

Still illegal in Wisconsin though, as every Pizza Hut I’ve ever been in serves beer…

“…allowing customers to carry firearms into the restaurants if they are legal possessors.
So, if someone wants to bring in a firearm illegally, such as for the purpose of, say, murdering people, then they are forbidden from bring in a gun. OK then. How about a sign on the door saying, “No robbery or murder permitted on these premises”? Wouldn’t that make more sense?

Nice that at least some Pizza Huts have reversed their vilest policy. I’ll end my boycott just as soon as they follow Domino’s lead in reversing their second vilest policy, i.e., making vile pizza.
