A lot of talk in it about the racist roots of gun control. All building up to point out that the 14th Amendment wasn’t just meant as an amendment to stop state and local laws that were discriminatory.
It also makes the argument that (like we’ve said all along) that the right to keep and bear arms is a civil right.
Good reading so far…but I feel that Chicago will still wiggle their way into making it very hard for the average person to own a firearm.
No where near finished…may have to stop and let the pundits speak to it from here on out. heh
From the opinion…I like this one: “The right to keep and bear arms, however, is not the only constitutional right that has controversial public safety implications. All of the constitutional provisions that impose restrictions on law enforcement and on the prosecution of crimes fall into the same category.”

I think that the link went bye-bye. I get a blank white screen and the browser bar at the bottom says “done”
