The issue I have with the article is the assertion that the 3rd Amendment has not been violated. During Katrina, in NOLA troops were quartered in people’s yards and homes, and they were arrested for arguing about it.
Even so, during the period leading up to the American War for Independence, King George quelled dissention by placing his agents inside the homes of known agitators. Hard to badmouth the King, when the King’s troops are sitting down to supper.
That tactic has evolved, and now all a dictator must do to place hi agents in your home is use the Patriot Act to tap your phones, read your email, and monitor your activity. IMO, the Patriot Act is a violation of your rights under the 3A.
