But I thought they came from gun shows?

In Texas:

A joint operation between the Laredo Police Department and the Webb County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the seizure 147 fully automatic AK-47 assault rifles, 263 high capacity magazines, 53 bayonets and 10,000 rounds of ammunition on Saturday, May 30 in the border city of Laredo Tx.

I sure am glad they got those evil bayonets off the streets *rolls eyes*

I like how the cops think that they got them all! Never saw one of the greatest movies of all time, “Lord of War”, Chief Wiggum?

For each one you catch, 10 more make it through. Heck, I’ll lay big money that this batch was the diversion.

    “..fully automatic…”????

Is that an unwarranted assumption on someone’s part? If not, it raises a whole lot of additional questions, I’m thinking.

  4. Ron W Says:

    Whoa!

“Fully automatic” guns have been illegal for the people since 1934….without an expensive and intrusive Bill of Rights violating fedral permit. That law must not be workin’ …especially since the employees of the people still have them in violation of “the equal protection of the laws” (14th Amendment) yet another “Supreme Law of the Land” law that isn’t workin’

  5. Thirdpower Says:

Saw a close-up of some of them. They have the normal markings for a semi-auto and none of the tell-tale drill holes for an illegal conversion.

  6. Huck Says:

I’ll bet that few, if any, of them were full auto.

Bayonets, oh my! Has anyone heard of any crime that was committed with a rifle sporting a fixed bayonet?

  7. Jailer Says:

147 rifles, 263 mags and only 10K of ammo????? Huh?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
