Practice doesn’t make perfect, practice makes permanent.

I find it amazing that the same issue several of them covered, was incorrect on their parts! Cross-dominant eye situations cannot be blindly dismissed as they seem to think. These may be top level shooters, but that doesn’t automatically translate into an ability to train others, or to automatically understand a situation they don’t have to deal with personally.

Frankly, that panel was, for the most part, embarrassing to read. It came across as the typical off-the-cuff opinions of any random collection of shooters found at a range. The sad thing is that some people will make the assumption that they know what they are talking about, due to their positions.

  3. Laughingdog Says:

shooting with your weak hand when you are cross-dominant isn’t necessarily bad advice. It really depends on the type of shooting you are doing. I’m right handed and left-eye dominant. For most things, I shoot right handed. But when shooting rifles with iron sights, shooting skeet, or doing bullseye pistol, shooting leftie is far more effective for me.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
