Gun cartoon
Heh.
So much better than the usual editorial cartoons.
Not feeling the love for McDonald. Did you know that a gun is supposed to relieve the root causes of of drug and gang crime? Me neither.
Bob want some. Remember, the military is limited to FMJ which is the cause of most of the reported 5.56 stopping power issues.
Residents say it’s too hard to exercise their rights. Licensing and registration is about $500. And it looks like some gun dealer is charging a $125 transfer fee.
Be safe.
For having a camera. The video shows some real stupidity. The people enforcing the law don’t know the law.
Chicago to give as little ground as possible. I actually am glad about this approach. Makes the lawsuits easier.
WI prosecutor no longer taking concealed carry cases.
You know how the McDonald decision, giving a black man a gun, was racist? Well, it’s racist again. A genius named Pam Adams says that the decision is racist because the supreme court has said that restricting second amendment rights to felons is likely OK. And, you know, black people are felons.
Alrighty.
Via thirdpower.
The five bottlenecks to cleaning up the oil spill: 4/5 involve government stupidity.
Remember that health care bill we had to have or we would die and God would kill kittens or some such? Yeah, that one. Well, look at some of the provisions that were in it:
The massive expansion of requirements for businesses to file 1099 tax forms that was hidden in the 2,409-page health reform bill took many by surprise when it came to light last month. But it’s just one piece of a years-long legislative stealth campaign to create ways for the federal government to track down unreported income.
Why, you mean stuff was hidden in it and we didn’t know what? I am shocked. Lots of new tax forms coming. Lots of stuff in there about tracking and reporting credit card transactions.
Reader Mike:
I’ll give you 4 words why NRA should support Reid.
Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Word.
Personally, any who somehow think guns have a sexual connotation are usually insane. And those that tend to assume others have the same thought are ignorant. But sometimes people represent them as sex objects to convey a point or to be shocking. The guns, that is. But sometimes a girl with a gun is just a girl with a gun.
Courtland Milloy may need a gun to back up his inflammatory rhetoric. He looks at Thomas, race and gun control:
In a scorcher of an opinion that reads like a mix of black history lesson and Black Panther Party manifesto, he goes on to say, “Militias such as the Ku Klux Klan, the Knights of the White Camellia, the White Brotherhood, the Pale Faces and the ’76 Association spread terror among blacks. . . . The use of firearms for self-defense was often the only way black citizens could protect themselves from mob violence.”
This was no muttering from an Uncle Tom, as many black people have accused him of being. His advocacy for black self-defense is straight from the heart of Malcolm X. He even cites the slave revolts led by Denmark Vesey and Nat Turner — implying that white America has long wanted to take guns away from black people out of fear that they would seek revenge for centuries of racial oppression.
It turns out that the supreme court reversing a law that prohibits a black man from being armed is racist:
If you think the 5-4 partisan hack decision denying the City of Chicago the right to ban handguns is about guns, you’re wrong. (It’s the same 5-4 GOP block — with some face changes — that put Bush in the White House and bestowed Corporate Personhood in the Citizens United Case, in short a radical right activist majority of judges.)
It’s about white males in America feeling threatened by becoming a minority and the gun is their last psychological reassurance of entitlement power against an encroaching demographic change in our democracy.
That’s why the case was brought by a black man.
That’s a whole big helping of stupid right there.
Anti-gun shill Garen J. Wintemute:
In fact, there is no gun-show loophole as such. Federal law is silent on the issue of gun shows and permits private-party gun sales to occur anywhere.
Been saying that for years.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
