Since it’s the hottest July in 17 years, I notice a definite lack in global warming jokes.

I’m crediting the greater DC area snowpocalypse of 2010 and the lingering stench of Climate-Fraud.

You did say 17,00 years, didn’t you?

Here’s two for ya:
1)Many environmentalists see global warming and carbon emission taxes as a good way to redistribute the wealth of more technologically advanced countries to Third World countries.
Al Gore is will soon learn about another great way to redistribute wealth. It’s called Divorce!
2) Ironically, having sex with Al Gore has gotta be a lot like global warming….you know it’s there somewhere, but it is no where as big as Al Gore wants you to believe it is.

Here in Salt Lake it was cooler and wetter than usual.

We haven’t had a single day over 80 here in Seattle. This has been for us an unusually cool and wet summer. What global warming?

It’s been regularly hot & humid in South Florida. 90s in the temp and humidity to steam clams. Same old same old.

They were saying “…in ten years” up here, which is considerably less apocalyptic than seventeen.
(And it was a cool Spring, too. Sure, July was hot but it’s the first month this year that has been.)

I’m sure the Argentinians could come up with a couple of jokes about July weather for you. As soon as they thaw out, that is…

Here in Texas the weather finally warmed up – Austin had its first 100F+ day last week, I think. I recall a May Day over 100F back in the 80’s, and my family has been thankful for the cool, wet, enjoyable spring and summer this year.
Of course, that won’t stop road rage and other craziness from starting now that the temps have reached the point that brain circuits start shorting out.

Anecdotal evidence… lame. Base your understanding of natural events on data- not feelings, stories, or politics. Study hard, and leave your bias at home.

weather may not equal climate but so far this summer we’re below average by 0-2 degrees here in the desert southwest. high today of 105 instead of 107, I’ll take it regardless of the cause.

Sky Serpent will eat you after we vote you off the island, heretic.

Years back I was talking with a meteorologist in Hawaii when I mention in Tennessee we get 98% humidity and you can feel your breath like liquid. He rebutted, “You can’t have 98% humidity because the ocean moderates it.” To which I replied, “I don’t know what the humidity is down on the Gulf but by the time that air flows over all those trees in Alabama, it’s 98% when it gets to Tennessee.
All I know is I can’t wear my glasses when I go out to do, well, anything outside because the running water off my forehead makes them useless.

NBot anecdotal. It’s been cold here since the end of May – mid 60’s and 70’s only with no real “Summer” yet and one of the coldest seasons (May-June-July) on record – maybe we’ll pick up some warmth in October. And it was cold in Hawaii in April-May.
I think this Globular Warming thing works West-to-East.

the hottest what where? Not in Houston.

“You can’t have 98% humidity because the ocean moderates it.”
So there’s no such thing as rain, then? Or dew? Because the ocean moderates it?

I think all the global warming jokes have moved to southern California.
