Preemption suit in Nevada

From NRA:

The National Rifle Association is backing a lawsuit filed against Clark County and the City of North Las Vegas in Nevada District Court. This lawsuit aims to defend the state’s firearms preemption law. NRA counsel filed suit on behalf of plaintiff David Hanes in the case Hanes v. Clark County and the City of North Las Vegas.

Vegas law is a bit more strict than the state’s.

Awesome. It’s about time. I almost got arrested at a gun range for having a pistol in Clark County without a Clark County Pistol Permit, even though I had a FL concealed carry permit, recognized by the state of NV. Silly me, I only looked up the state laws. Oh, and it was during the SHOT Shot and I work for a gun company, and my friend was a resident of Clark County at the time, and had his permit. I’ve been arrested for dumber laws than that, though.

They’re going to go against the casinos?

    In Nevada?

Good luck, fellas. You gonna need it.

I really really hope this gets somewhere before I have to move to that place.

I wonder if Wayne La Pierre and his buddies ever get stopped on the way to their new rifle range in Nevada, or did the NRA Endorsed Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid make a few phone calls with N.Las Vegas P.D. asking them for a “favor” for his good friends when they’re in town?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
