About that shooting
From Guav: Police fired 46 shots at a crowded block party, in addition to shooting another officer, they hit the man they were shooting at TWENTY TIMES—but he’ll probably live since they managed to miss every major organ.

See… and you thought NY politicians were crazy for suggesting that the police be required to “shoot to disable, not kill”.

In their defense, and in the slightest defense possible, the number of rounds fired is because they kept hearing shots–from other officers, but there’s no way to discern that in what amounts to combat. Still, 46 shots, give em a 50% hit rate, and no kills? Poor.

Latest report has it at 21 hits. A new record.

You know cops have trouble hitting things when they are being shot at. Especially when the shooters are other cops. I find it amusing they thought shooting another cop was completely justified as well as the 3 civys. Nice bit of police work I must say. Very professional.

How could you possibly be hit 21 times and not die? I saw three movies over the weekend and everyone that died did so after being shot only once!

“we’ve just got to do something about all these guns—the guns that keep flooding into our cities.”
For once I agree with a gun grabber. ALL the guns involved in that shooting need to be confiscated.

From the news articles I read the perp had a .38 special revolver, and the police were armed with 9mm pistols. It was also confirmed that the victim who died was shot with a 9mm and not the .38.
