Prices seem to be leveling off too
For several months, gun and ammunition stores across the nation have struggled with a supply shortage that has hurt business and made life difficult for gun owners.
Fortunately, however, store owners in Dothan say the shortage is mostly over and it is safe for hunters and other gun enthusiasts to buy their weapons and bullets of choice

I’ll call it over when I can find Winchester Silver Tips in .380 locally, not one second before.

You STILL can’t find .380? WTF, man? I’m gonna blame your geography.

Several of the gun stores in the City, no, my city, have posted “We have .380” in the storefront window.
I was O.K. with the exception of getting caught flat-footed on .45acp.
That won’t happen again.

Wonder if the prices are going to drop back to pre shortage levels anytime soon

Local gun store here has a sale on all Ruger items, 60th anniversary, and the Ruger reps are there as well. Prices on .380 are $13.00/50, Blazer 22LR is $13.00/500, 9 mm is similarly priced and they have enough .45 to satisfy everyone. Because it was so damn crowded at lunch all I did was look for a specific rifle, literally wall to wall people. I’ll go back tomorrow for the ammo sale and free range time with the Ruger’s, early.
I’d say that the manufacturers have caught up to demand as the last time I was by Wallyworld their ammo case was full and had a wide selection. Larry’s was never out of anything, a bit pricey on several calibers but never out and that includes the .380 Winchester ST’s.

Wally’s here in Kalifornia has about half of the shelves stocked. Some 9, no .45, no .380, lotsa .22, mostly rifle.
