Good question

Why won’t NRA give proper credit in McDonald case?

    This is pitiful.

Almost as bad to having to carefully consider endorsing a Senator who helped ramrod Sotomayor and Kagen through the Senate.

The NRA wants to be the only voice in 2A issues, so they can get lots of donation dollars. Follow the money, and the truth shall be revealed.

NRA is useful as an 800-lb gorilla.

The problem with an 800-lb gorilla is that it’s handlers have as much difficulty controlling it as anyone else. It gets to do pretty much whatever it wants, whether we like it or not.

I’ve been saying this for years. Since Katrina in fact.

Perhaps the nra is so full of its own shit its eyes are turning brown…. Nothing but a bunch of thieving bastards who would sell their mothers if it meant you writing them a check. God they sound so much like politicians it is unreal.

I think that Wayne LaPierre has overstayed his welcome at the NRA.

It’s time for someon who is more consistently conservative and less political (in the scheming and scamming sort of way).

Perhaps it has to do with the fact that NRA’s argument in McDonald (Due Process) is the one that prevailed. Gura on the other hand was making the longshot case for Priveleges or Immunities which, as you may recall, was mocked by Scalia and Roberts during oral argument.

Also, let’s not forget that Gura and many others widely criticized NRA for it’s decision to ask for time at oral argument but it was NRA’s and Paul Clements argument that prevailed.

This is standard behavior for the “K” Street lobbying crowd in DeeCee. They get peeved when their lobbying efforts’ results have to be shared, and yes, they ARE known for taking credit when none is due. They are ALL paid liars.

They are just part of the crooked system we call American Politics. If you want to change THAT, you have to start over, as in the “Tobacco Road” solution.

The way to get to the NRA is to stop sending them dollars past your membership money. The VERY SECOND that NRA detects that the ILA money is drying up, they will change, but not before.

Another thing you might do at the local Club level: agitate in your club to drop the nearly-universal requirement that club members belong to the NRA, and if you can’t get it dropped, make it a choice, such as being able to count sending bucks elsewhere, as the SAF, for example.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
