Movie Review Haiku: The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day
Thought it would kick ass
Because the first one did rock
So disappointing

By coincidence, I watched it on Netflix streaming a couple of days ago.
I almost stopped it about a third of the way through, but I finished it.
Now I wonder why.

I understand you have Netflix. Check out “The Lawman” with Burt Lancaster and “Terror in a Texas Town” with Sterling Hayden. They’re both available on demand (computer, Blue Ray, Wii). They’re hidden gems. “The Lawman”, especially. Whoever wrote and directed that movie knew guns and shooting.

That’s too bad. The first one IS awesome.

in the first one there seemed to be a certain spontaneity to the whole thing. the second seemed forced, start to finish.

While by no means fine cinema, the first one captured something that hadn’t been captured before. The second is on my NetFlix streaming queue but every time we see it we can’t bring ourselves to watch it. No review has been good.
Maybe I’ll just remove it and not spoil it.

I enjoyed as much or more than the first one. It’s silly and over the top but so is the first one.The chick is cool and the I thought the story of the father was good.

Probably wasn’t as good as the first one, but it didn’t suck either.
