They are about to open a store about 4 miles from my abode. I did not know they carried guns and ammo. Wife is gonna be ticked off since the store is next door to one of our weekly shopping stops: the pet store….and she loves her cats.
PS: the weekly ad has the box of for $6.98

Even in Kalifornia, that has been the norm now for about 3 or 4 months.

Yeah that’s pretty much the usual sale price around here. Normal pricing is $10. Keep in mind it’s often only on specific box sizes and they sell out quick.

Wish they had a Dick’s around here. There used to be a Sportsman’s Warehouse that I loved to go to, but they pulled out of Texas. There’s a massive Cabela’s but it’s about 90 minutes south of me — too far for a casual drive on down.

SayUncle, save your brass for me 🙂
I reload that stuff.

Sadly Dick’s only carries long guns, and their ammo is over priced (like everything else in there). They recently put a massive Academy Sports my the city and I go there alot now. They are great… and reasonably priced too.

Hellz, I buy thousands typically. I know it puts me on a list, but they probably have a pretty thick book on me already.

If it’s the local Dick’s it must be Dick’s on Peters.

Cabela’s in Michigan has Federal with the giant eagle on it for 5.99 this weekend as a door buster.
Looks like ammo prices are slooowly coming back to normal.

Aaron, there are multiple Dick’s in the metroplex. If you’re 90 minutes north of the Cabela’s, the closest ones to you would be in Flower Mound or Irving. Still not exactly in the neighborhood, but closer than Cabela’s.

And the nearby Cabela’s has XM193 for 5.99 a box.
Damn I wish I had money… And cabela’s wasn’t anti-gun.
Cabela’s does not allow carry in there stores.

Shawn I don’t know how cabelas is anti gun or anti carry. They specifically have large signs on the front doors that say cabelas requires all guns to be cased, but this does not apply to lawfully carried firearms. The open carry group near me has even had events at cabelas

Shawn, if you are referring to the Cabela’s in Fort Worth, I carry concealed in there, legally, all the time.
Even if there was a corporate policy of no guns, which would be ridiculous in their case, there is no Texas PC 30.06 posting at the entrance so any and all CHP holders may freely enter while carrying.
