After watching videos like this, I think instead of a carbine class, maybe driving class is in order. And how the hell do you get a Ford Fiesta to 650HP and a zero to 60 of 1.9?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

I don’t know, but I have a good friend who’s a master mechanic for Ford. Maybe my beater car will be a Focus and we’ll see if we can’t match this one… Heheheheheh…

The wife and I have talked about going to one of those offensive driving courses as a vacation. I think we found a 4 day course in Vegas for like $1500 a person.
It all stemmed from a hilarious conversation we had about zombies, and she quipped that she didn’t need to know how to shoot an AR from the passenger seat because she’d be the one driving.

By building a small car by hand that has 650HP and then zip-tieing Fiesta like body panels around it making sure to get a few of the Ford badges in the right general locations. You know, like NASCAR.

A turbocharger the size of a small wastebasket is involved.

Magnets.
Or rockets.
But probably magnets.

Take a look at the Top Gear episode from a few years back where Jeremy Clarkson drives a Ford Fiesta through a shopping mall being chased by a Corvette. Nice homage to Jake and Elwood with an off-the shelf car.

Same people with the earlier WRX:

The Fiesta is de-tuned from 850 HP, for a better torque curve.
So, AWD in a Fiesta? This is optional? yeah, right…

More on the engines

Seems they are using a 2L engine.
You can get the same HP from the 2L turbo AWD in the 1st and 2nd gen Eagle Talon/Mitsubishi Eclipse. Stock 200 HP. Bigger turbo, new exhaust system, bigger injectors, better intake manifold, port the head, and add an engine management system= 400-850+ HP at the wheels. That’s for a street driven car. Track only cars can get around 1100 HP, but 4 digit HP tends to break driveline parts.

I think you’d better do some homework man, Thats the same car Mr. Block runs in Rally America. It’s a standard fiesta tub.
Uncle- Turbo’s man. All you need is boost, more fuel, more air and stronger internals.

Will- My Eclipse started breaking driveline (trans) at 270. Then eventually I got the crankwalk.
Very happy with my Mk1 SVTF
