Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

I dont really think that the climate for politicians is really that positive. I think we are at a point now where politicians actually have to worry about their polling numbers and what each and every voter thinks of them….. A good many incumbents where be no more after the November elections.

When we elect a person to SERVE in elected office, we are hiring an EMPLOYEE to administrate our government according to our law, the Constitution. We are not electing leaders, but temporary servants. As supervisors of those employees it is incumbent on us to contuinually monitor them and admonish them to adhere to that Law.
“For in a Republic, who is “the country?” Is it the Government which is for the moment in the saddle? Why, the Government is merely a servant – merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a patriot and who isn’t. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them. “– Samuel Clemens, a.k.a., Mark Twain, American author
“It is not the function of the government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the government from falling into error.”— U.S. Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson
