The celebrity magazines are even picking up on this now…. it was in People or US or one of those stupid things. I dont remember which.

People need to stop treating celebs as if they are on a higher social rung than everyone else.
They are just people who get up on stage act on cue for our enjoyment. (http://injennifershead.com/?p=1841)
They are no different from everyone else except for their job.
There is nothing special about them carrying firearms any more than any of us carrying ours.
There is also no reason that they should be allowed to do so while others are denied. The best thing that could come out of this is somehow being able to challenge the may issue laws in N.Y. based on a bias or a civil rights standpoint.

May issue permitting always ends up in a web of corruption and bribes. Also the magazine is asking the wrong question:
“It’s unclear why Anthony wanted the permit; the 42-year-old singer’s lawyer didn’t respond to requests for comment.”
Hey numb-nuts, I suspect Mr. Anthony (or whatever his name is) wants a carry permit for the same reason why the rest of us do. The question you should ask is “What is so unique about New York that makes permits so exclusive to only the rich and famous?”
