I guess my problem with these types of products is that not enough parts interchange between 7.62 and 5.56. If you’re replacing a large percentage of the rifle, why not replace all of it and have two rifles optimized for each caliber? There wouldn’t really be that much of a weight penalty.
I mean at some point the only thing you’re really keeping between the two is the buttstock and the trigger pack. I could do that with the old HK G3 architecture.
