Pocket Guns

I dunno. I don’t think I would carry a cocked and locked 1911 in my pocket. And if I don’t carry it cocked and locked, then why carry a 1911?

I sort of had the same idea at first. But i figure if i get the right pocket holster for it, it should be just as safe there as anywhere else.

I am once again debating my choices though, mostly because of price.

I don’t know that I’d want a single-action pistol carried in such a way that I was muzzling my femoral artery, but that’s just me…

I love me some SAO, but in the pocket I only stuff DAO.

I tried it with a Colt Officer, inside a Desantis Pocket Holster, and its not bad, Cocked and Locked.
Still have 3 safeties to defeat before it goes bang.
But when I decided to stick with 9mm, I picked up a used Carry 9 (LDA Trigger)as it would take the same magazines as my primary

    Bullseye!

I like the 1911 for this. At least it has a manual safety.

If it’s a true 1911, with the 3 integral safeties, you are not going to have an accidental discharge. Unless, that is, you are one of those who “modifies” the weapon for “tacticool bling”.

Depends on your situation, I guess. My father taught me to always walk with my shotgun broken when hunting with friends. But then he took a torch and file and disabled both the grip safety and magazine safety on his Belgian FN .32.

Guns are dangerous. They’re supposed to be.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
