Wishful thinking
The Tennessean: Nashville attorney David Randolph Smith leads fight against guns-in-bars law
Leads it where? It’s still the law and will be for a while. He does seem ambitious though:
Smith’s goal is an ambitious one — to be the attorney who argues the deciding case in front of the U.S. Supreme Court about where handguns should be reasonably prohibited.

AHA!
Now we see why he’s doing it. It’s not about “safety” it’s about him getting his name in the paper, and going to the Supreme Court.
Gura will eat this guy for lunch.

It amazes me how hardcore and obvious some people can be to ensure that crooks have a safe work environment.

That is one heck of an uphill battle.
I can see an interesting argument Smith would have to make should OSHA continue denying Smith’s request for a ban… That places where people drink is a “sensitive location” and as such, not only can the government make it off limits, they MUST make it off limits.

What a self-serving asshole… The rights and safety of the citizens of Tennessee come secondary to his desires to be in the gorramed limelight.
Gotta love it when jerks like that let the mask slip for a second…

I think the face of handgun opposition in this state will be a scrunched-up little face. An unremarkable face. That face can yap all it wants and think it’s famous for getting into the Nashville paper but your question, “Leads it where?” is funny and on point. They already led the guns in restaurants issue smack into the General Assembly grinder and got slaughtered by the people of the state.
Fame might be good lawyer publicity but only if you aren’t tagged as an obnoxious version of Don Quixote tilting stupidly at a windmill whose blades are sharp and turn and smack you down. I look forward to following the trail of “Case dismissed” orders.

And how do people leave those “sensitive locations” where alcohol is served?? Oh, they drive, so that makes the cars of those patrons and the roads on which they drive “sensitive locations”. Does this ignorant-of-our-rights lawyer really wanta go there??
