OK, but doesn’t Colt’s have the trademark rights to “AR-15”? Wouldn’t that be the reason you don’t see it on other companies’ rifles?
I call what is designated by Rock River Arms as an LAR an “AR”. No problem. Yes. That’s what they are– Armalite Rifles. I sometimes use “Stoner design” or “Stoner rifle” but fewer people recognize that. Oh bother. “EBR” includes other designs.
Well I asked the guys at the club one time, OK if I bring my Stoner? and they said no man, she’s a downer. Renamed the rifle and re-evaluated the relationship.

I like to give mine names, dress them up and take them out!
I really just call mine “AR” or “EBR”.

Everything is tactical forever. Makes people feel good, I guess.

An AR is just an AR. And sometimes a banana is just a banana.
