Like you and me, only better
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. In Illinois, a policeman has an illegal short barreled rifle. The court says prosecutors had failed to prove Peterson’s semiautomatic rifle wasn’t protected under a federal law that gives police officers general immunity to own weapons that are illegal under state law. No, the law doesn’t do that. It requires the police departments to register their NFA weapons too. But don’t you dare own a handgun in Chicago.

If you think that decisio was bad, did you hear about the man who was arrested by BATFE for having possesion of a full auto firearm who got off because “the laws regarding full auto weapons were too complex” so that he could not understand them.
Might have believed it except he was a Illinois State Police officer who was a firearms instructor for the ISP.
Welcom to Illinois.

That wasn’t a full auto firearm…. it was a Patrol Rifle.

Not refering to Petersons’s rifle. I am refering to a different case about 3-4 years ago IIRC.
