Ammo Bans Violate Second Amendment

In DC:

[F]rom the Court’s reasoning [in Heller], it logically follows that the right to keep and bear arms extends to the possession of handgun ammunition in the home; for if such possession could be banned (and not simply regulated), that would make it “impossible for citizens to use [their handguns] for the core lawful purpose of self-defense.” By the same token, given the obvious connection between handgun ammunition and the right protected by the Second Amendment, we are hard-pressed to see how a flat ban on the possession of such ammunition in the home could survive heightened scrutiny of any kind. We therefore conclude that the Second Amendment guarantees a right to possess ammunition in the home that is coextensive with the right to possess a usable handgun there.

It’s not all good, though. Seems they’d be OK with a ban on ammo for which you do not have a registered gun.

two is one, one is none.

Have one registered and one of the same caliber bought ftf on the open market.

I have several that are redundant. Some big brother knows of, some he don’t.

Although I do not want to see any regualtions on ammo.

We have got to get these guys out of power.

Time to buy a Thompson Contender and list every possible caliber on the registration form…

So I guess giving ammo to a friend as a Christmas, sorry we’re talking DC, Holiday gift is out then? Ammo is a great gift, it is always useful, you can never have enough and it is expendable so no junking up the shelves.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
