I just read the “wired” piece, and I must say, it’s a classic example of everything bad brought about by the Internet.
It contains little content at all.
It’s mostly graphics and things to roll your cursor across.
It’s vapid, and generalized, and wikipedia-ified.
It merely asserts that the AK “fundamentally changed the rules of modern warfare” without giving one example of a single “rule” and how, specifically, the AK “changed” that rule.

Love how they link to a picture of AR Uppers on Lady GaGa. What has that got to do with AKs?

The publisher is sending me a copy of Chivers’ book to review. It ought to be interesting.

Yeah chivers book is good. Went and ordered it as soon as I heard about it. Paints the m16 in a realistic light too.

There’s nothing in the piece.
