Mu: keep in mind that Texas Medicaid even pays for non-essentials like orthodontics, which is not only a service that most parents elsewhere have to pay for out-of-pocket, but also not available at your local ER.

According to the article they’re dropping out of Medicaid not Medicare, which is a whole different animal.
