Breyer on arms
Breyer says a lot of dumb things here. Since the scope is undetermined, it’s like a right doesn’t exist.
And if you want to shoot a gun but live somewhere where you can’t own them, then you should just visit places you can shoot guns.
Wow.

“And if you want to shoot a gun but live somewhere where you can’t own them, then you should just visit places you can shoot guns.”
So if we in Texas decide to ban Islam, and you want to practice that particular religion, then you should just go somewhere else to do it?
Or better yet, let’s make a law that all political speech by a Democrat is illegal in Texas. If a Democrat wants to make a political statement, they needs to go to New York or Oklahoma.
I’m sure the 1st Amendment will be just fine with those two restrictions in place.

Obviously Breyer does NOT support ALL of the Bill of Rights for ALL Citizens, nor does he support “the equal protection of the laws” (14th Amendment), you know, one of the two which ended legal slavery.
What a wonderful SCOTUS justice!!!

The subway. You left out the subway. He tells us to take the subway to Maryland to own a gun. Ergo, no subway, no rights. That creaking you hear is a running structural crack, either in reality, the Metro rail, or this man’s mind.
Wonder what Madison would have made of that. If memory serves, he took a quick trip out of DC one time, and firearms were a factor.
Guess who lived in Maryland? Marbury. Speaks volumes.

“If blacks wish to be served at the lunch counter, they simply must take the blacks-Only Bus to New York where they allow such things.”
Justice Wallace, classy!

It’s guys like Breyer that can lead us into gun confiscation. See my book They Came For Our Guns, They Came For Our Freedom.

its a damn shame that the court is so political

Breyer has been anti-gun for years, but I didn’t expect him to out and out lie about the Founders, and the Bill of Rights.
December 13th, 2010 at 4:47 pm
If Breyer is anti-gun, let him NOT keep or carry them. That’s pro-choice–which he should be on ALL of the Bill of Rights for us. He may choose to waive only his own rights!

He should be at the bottom of the ocean.

“Get on a subway and go to Maryland.”
Breyer needs to get on a subway and come back to America.
I found that to be the most offensive thing he said. It amounts to saying, “If want freedom, go elsewhere, if freedom still exists elsewhere, because you have no rights anywhere that your rights have been taken away from you.”
The smug bastard is saying that he is not going to support the right to keep and bear arms, regardless of what the Second Amendment says. He is not interpreting the law; he is doing as he pleases with it because he pleases to do so. What an evil man he is! He is worse than a child rapist is because he seeks to rape the rights of everyone in America. What a monstrous man!

1. So there’s very definitely a right to sodomy in the Constitution, but certainly not a right to have guns. Furthermore, this is what the Founders intended.
2. What dimwit would go to Maryland from DC to shoot guns when Virginia is just as close?
