Caliber Debate

What makes a particular caliber good is that you have it in a gun that’s with you.

What makes it better is that it’s the most powerful caliber you can control well in a reliable gun.

Scrounge-ability of ammo may be of some, but less, concern. I guess you’d have to play scenarios. For the Zombie Apocalypse, you want scrounge-ability, i.e. a very common caliber. For nearly everything else,.. eh. And I figure if you’re scrounging ammo, you could probably scrounge a gun to match whatever you find. Besides, I have several guns in several common calibers – so we’re talking about what we carry verses what we have available at home.

I carried a little pocket auto for a while, but decided it was scary impotent, then carried a bigger pocket auto which turned out to be unreliable. Now I carry the full frame, extra powerful high cap auto because it’s what I had in my stable.

Oh, and, I guess I’m obliged to say; “my caliber is super good and a smart choice, whereas yours is based upon adherence to a foolish herd mentality” or something like that.

How about, “It makes a bigger hole”.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
