Property Rights
We often hear politicians and pundits denounce property rights. Property rights, we’re told, protect the fat cats against the needs of the public. They’re a tool for keeping the little guy down.
Like a lot of what we hear from politicians and pundits, this is exactly the opposite of the truth. The fat cats don’t need the protection of property rights, because they already control the political system.

Yep, the libs are still downplaying property crimes, too. In a dying gasp there is work by our outgoing liberal legislature to enact some changes to enhanced-penalty legislation for various repeat criminals. The highest offenses? Environmental crimes, none of which are felony offenses.
Several forms of trespass, theft, & deceptive business practices that are felonies – becaues the act can cost the victim hundreds of thousands of dollars – are set at a lower priority because, well, “those are only property crimes”. The gist is that if you are rich enough to suffer from a multi-thousand dollar theft, trespass, or swindle, then heck, you can afford the loss.
More forced ‘wealth redistribution’ in a more snidely way.
