Well, that is the point
Police have been relying on a database that is woefully flawed to acquire information about those with permits to carry concealed pistols in Colorado.
The database is both compromised by errors and overly intrusive to permit holders’ right to privacy.
We urge local law enforcement officials to take the program more seriously and to overhaul their reporting to the state database.

Our left-leaning Colorado state government sees an opportunity to inflict some damage on the concealed-carry system. No law enforcement entity is actually complaining that this is a problem as far as I know. The fact that there is an extralegal statewide database at all is, of course, the actual problem. When I got my permit, I checked to ensure that the sheriff in my county did not enter CHP holder names into this or any other statewide database. The anti-gunners in power do not like this.
