Crime stats coming in

While overall crime is down, police fatalities are up. Press says it’s due to cluster killings.

That is bullshit. Last years statistics were a fluke being so low. Most years it is generally around a 160…

  2. Mike Says:

Wait, you mean to say that the rise in police fatalities is NOT due to the expiration of the Assault Weapons Ban?

    I am shocked, truly…

  3. Divemedic Says:

There is a little misdirection here. First, there were 12 more officers killed by gunfire in 2010 than in 2009, but three of the dead officers were shot in previous years (1996, 1998, 2009), and died of complications in 2010.

There were 61 cops killed by some sort of transportation accident in 2009, and 77 in 2010. Likewise, there were 14 who died of heart attacks in 2010, and only 9 in 2009.

There were no cops who drowned, died from falls, or in training in 2009. Those incidents were responsible for 5 police deaths in 2010.

For a breakdown, please see this:

Those stats are accurate as of September 19.

There were 5 total police officer fatalities in Md last year. 4 of the 5 were traffic accidents.

Figgers lie, but liars can sure figger.

  6. Justthisguy Says:

Yawn. What, some of them are finally getting what they deserve? I am much more concerned about Killer Cops than I am about the so-called “cop killers.”

  7. John Smith. Says:

I was under the impression all police killings are a cluster…..

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
