Said before I don’t expect Christie or any politician in New Jersey to stand up for gun rights. Bob Owens confirms my expectations.

Would pretty much destroy his chances at national office, it sounds like.

Christie is a bitch. The only way you can get elected in jersey is if you are a bitch… Christie is a normal cookie cutter republican… He knows if he stands up for what is right he will not get the votes he needs… I know of only one president who was elected for doing the right thing instead of the popular thing. Garfield. We all know what happened to him….

Dan writes, “Would pretty much destroy his chances at national office, it sounds like.”
I expect the next Republican nominee to be one who pays only a little lip service to the right to keep AND CARRY arms and one who will keep on allowing
(Clinton-Bush-Obama) the invasion AND OCCUPATION of our nation. Dan, remember George W.Bush stood idly by while our nation was invaded and supported the AWB. That is, he supported denying semi-auto self defense rifles to us while enemies were allowed into our country…just as does Obama.
Any politician who doesn’t trust us with the military pattern rifles isn’t to be trusted–because:
Only your enemy wants you disarmed!!

In this case, if we can build up a reputation that he is gun-neutral, then he has to live up to it, or risk angering the ones who believe this.
It’s not the first time forcing someone to live up to a manufactured reputation has worked in politics.
