I’m sure that the police out here in The Sticks, Texas, would be very understanding after I explained, from my proned-out position on the asphalt, that I wasn’t breaking the law by open carrying – it’s just a cell phone, Officers, really!
Markie Marxist sez: “That’s awful! It desensitizes people to the idea of private citizens carrying guns and makes the idea of carrying a gun seem normal or like a joke! We need a law that bans displaying a holster that says that showing a holster is the same as showing a gun, that way, such people can be legally shot dead by our government agents. We cannot have people mocking gun control with phone holsters that look like gun holsters! Our anti-gun sensibilities must be taken seriously and treated with the utmost respect!”
At the communist organization where I work, a cell phone holster that looked like a gun holster would cause the Marxists there to grit their teeth and grimace because, from their perspective, at best it would display a gross ignorance of their cherished, Marxist, gun ban agenda. They would criticize it by saying that it’s distasteful, insensitive and offensive to people who have lost friends to gun violence, when what they really want to say is that they hate it because it blithely contradicts their political agenda.
If you know how your enemy thinks, you’ll have a clue as to how you should think for your own sake. Phone holsters that look like gun holsters send the proper, politically incorrect message and offend only the people who should be offended. Let them grit their teeth and grimace!
Chas says “They would criticize it by saying that it’s distasteful, insensitive and offensive to people who have lost friends to gun violence”
My response would be something along the lines of “More people lose their lives to automobiles every day than to guns in a year. I find it distasteful, insensitive and offensive that you drive a car in public.”

Really, really dumb.
What I want is a holster that looks like a case for a cell phone.

I won’t lie, I’m halfway tempted to wear that holster cross-draw while I open carry my 1911 strong-side.
