It’s a Nock Volley Gun. Pretty fearsome when you realize that all 7 .50 caliber bores fire at once. Probably does some damage to the shooter as well. One of the characters in Bernard Cornwell’s Sharpe books carries one.
Oh I don’t know. There are a few candidates out there.
Without seeing more of the action detail I would say US Artemus Wheeler Revolving Carbine, a .45 7-shot automatic priming flintlock from 1818.

I think that 7 barreled weapon is a British Nelson Gun- an anti-ship-boarding party device.

Since it mentions the Nock Volley gun in the text, that’s a good start. I don’t think I want to fire that without a swivel mount.

Yes, this shit looks like garage-made, but – it’s a serial RB-12, shotgun. Revers-pump-action. And, holy shit, it has a wooden follower.
Was made only ~50 of them. You can guess – why.

That Nock Volley gun was used by Richard Widmark in the 1960 movie “the Alamo”.

The volley gun was carried by Sergeant Harper in the Sharpe’s films. I haven’t read the books (yet) to see if that is consistent with the text.
