McCarthy’s Magazine Ban
When not lending her expertise on firearms to the press, McCarthy is busing writing dumb bills that have no chance of passing. The latest is her attempt at banning regular capacity magazines. It’s a dumb bill that would ban the Henry Repeating Rifle.
Even Mayors Against Guns Bloomberg says regular capacity magazines save lives.
Fortunately, the bill has little chance of passing.
At gun shows, the market speaks. And is not scared.

Two years ago, in rural upstate NY, there was an incident where 14 people were killed. The killer had NY legal magazines. How did he get around it? Multiple guns and extra magazines. As unfortunate as that incident was, it is a glowing example that reduced magazines do not reduce killing.
The problem with this type of legislation is that once they realize 10 round magazines can still cause these sort of killings, the size will be reduced to 6, then 1. If this bill goes through, then the groundwork will be laid for them to reduce it further in the future.

Will “McCarthy’s Magazine Ban” bill include the hired guns, or will “the equal protection of the laws” (14th Amendment) be violated yet again?

I was stunned how many mags were available at the gun show Sunday. I figured that all the normal sized mags would have been bought up on Saturday, leaving nothing for the rest of us. Heck, the prices weren’t even up.
Thanks for the link.

I think that even if you TRY to violate someone’s rights by writing a law, you should be beaten half to death in public.

Only idiots and rat commie bastards like Lautenberg and McCarthy worry about their measly lives because of 30 round magazines AND THEY KNOW WHY. This is only an excuse for further bans. What if this happens with ten round magazines? Will they ban semi-automatics? SAY FIRM NO TO THIS STUPID AND OPPRESSIVE BAN.
If any legislation should be passed, pass one that forbids the media mentioning of fire arm type, caliber and magazines used during an unfortunate crime. It is totally irrelevant who made the pistol, bullet or how many rounds the magazine holds…
