S&W M&P22
Based on this pic, I wonder if they shoved some P22 innards into a M&P frame and slide. I’d recognize that barrel anywhere. Looks like a Walther P22 barrel to me.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

Concur.
But that is not a bad thing, I love my P22, and that’s why I carry a PPS 9mm, and have a S&W .40. They all have the same ergonomics and muscle memory is a good thing.

Frank James reported the MP-22 is “Made by Walther”, meaning made by Umarex.
It’s in this post from SHOT:

That barrel nut certainly looks familiar. If the barrels are the same, then the longer one could be swapped in for silencer use.
That said, the controls are different. At least it doesn’t have that godawful slide mounted safety.
Also, at an MSRP of $450, one hopes the slide is aluminum instead of pot-metal.

I never thought I’d become the kind of mindless Internet dork who posts comments that just say “LOL.”
That said:
Umarex LOL.

Umarex… that sucks.
S&W has a winner with their own in-house M&P15-22; their other .22lr pistols work pretty good too, why couldn’t they build this pistol in house too?
