A middle-class enclave on the South Shore of the city’s southernmost borough is the gun capital of New York, with 509 residents — or about one in every 57 males — legally packing heat.
1) one in every 57 males? Biased much?
2) one in every 57 males? Some neighbors are seriously slacking.
The well-armed area is also one of the city’s safest. The 123rd Precinct has seen a 27 percent decrease in major crimes over the past 10 years, and there were just two homicides there in 2009 and 2010.
I’ve said it once, and I’m sure I will it say it a few more times. The least hostile county to gun rights in NY is still Niagara County. If I bought a gun in the evening, only in Niagara could I walk out with it the same day.
Not sure if that has changed in the last 5 years, though.
I live in Erie County (Buffalo) and I can buy a handgun, drive to county hall and get it listed on my permit and get back to the store to pick it up in less than 90 minutes. We love our guns here in Western New York too.

Awesome that they include a link for bad guys to find out where they are least likely to be opposed!
