A bit ironic
The company who makes one of the drugs used in lethal injections is going to stop making it. So:
Some states have already been forced to seek alternative supplies of sodium thiopental abroad, including illicitly from British companies, in order to carry out executions because of a shortage of the anaesthetic after production was stalled by the lack of a key ingredient.
The state going to the black market for drugs. Heh.

Yeah, but that’ll be metric sodium thiopental and may not interface with our current equipment.
Also, what’s wrong with the guillotine or the noose?

Nice.. Blackmarkets always have the best selection….

Long drop, short rope. Less expensive too.

Good old oiled Hemp Rope…. Nice and smooth.

“Hemp Rope”
Is this made from pot stalks?
Could also be blackmarket…

Nope. Involuntary organ donation. Waste not, want not.

I believe OK solved this problem by using a different drug.

What about a gun hooked up to a timer that put a bullet to the back of the head at 12:01 ? Or would that go along with the robo-machine-gun-theory and the ATF would hemorrhage at the thought.

Ropes, bullets and electricity are still readily avalable.
And OK uses that drug that vets use to euthanize animals. Sounds appropriate to me.
