New gun round up
Mossberg Turkey Thug, seems to be an unfortunate name.
Glock 21 4th Generation is here
Folks are still excited about the Chiappa Rhino, which I never really got. But, as Les explained yesterday at lunch, this is the first time something new has happened to the revolver in a billion years.

First time since the Mateba Model 6, anyway.

Sometimes you just need to get your Vash the Stampede on.

New doesn’t mean good. That Chiappa is too mechanically complex.

Bad name and unfortunately Mossberg doesn’t seem to understand that pistol grips don’t make sense on their guns.

Better than the Mossberg Jive Turkey Shooter….

The big problem with the Rhino right now is that none of the ones out there have really been shot. 100 rounds here and there isn’t really significant. I talked to Mr. Chiappa his own bad self at SHOT about it, and he says they’ve had test models go 20,000 rounds without a parts breakage. Honestly, I think it’s a cool idea, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Russian also had a revolver design like that.
http://world.guns.ru/handguns/double-action-revolvers/rus/ots-3-silent-e.html
“the OTs-38 fires from the bottom chamber of the cylinder, as opposed to most revolvers that fire from upper chamber. Therefore, the barrel axis of OTs-38 is relatively low and muzzle jump is minimal.”
