SOTU Stuff
I didn’t watch. I didn’t really have a desire to see Obama kick off his 2012 campaign with a bunch of pie in the sky that he won’t do. I didn’t watch the rebuttal either, though I did hear a few minutes of it this morning on the local affiliate of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. It was a good speech about liberty and cutting spending and cutting government. And then I remembered Oh, he’s a Republican. So he’ll support those ideals as long as he’s in the minority.

Heh! I see I’m not the only one who thought that the SOTU address was nothing more than a campaign speech!

Didn’t watch the SOTU because I don’t usually willingly waste my time while people lie to me. Didn’t watch the rebuttal or bonus rebuttal for the same reason.

He never stopped campaigning.

Technically, Ryan is in the majority. Not only that, but he is the Chair of the House Budget Committee. Expect him to publish a budget proposal in the coming weeks that actually cuts things. Expect that Obama and the Senate will get in the way, but Ryan’s pretty close to the real deal.
Take a look at his Roadmap and at the Ryan-Rivlin Medicare plan. We need more of his type.

Every time I see SOTU, my mind says STFU. Something Freudian, no doubt.

I liked Ryan better than Jindal.
