Some dude at Salon: Guns cost more lives than they save
And he has all sorts of facts and figures to back that up. Oh, wait, no he doesn’t.

So much hate and ignorance coming from that side that it’s kind of depressing.

Look at the book that was written by the author, and you know that he has absolutely no agenda here:

I read some of the replies before giving up. Some of the replies are obviously pro, some obviously con.
But a large number of replies are so poorly written, so poorly communicated that you can’t tell what side they are on. You certainly can’t tell what the point is. Whatever salon.com is, it is off of my list for that reason. I’ll read reasoned arguments, but utter gibberish is intellectually unappealing.
You should have to train, take a test, and pay a license fee to get on the internet. *chortle*

Idiocy does cause headaches. Does anybody have aspirin?

Yep, once again, someone, who is an authority figure, puts out misinformation. Must have learned that in the Army, back in the 60’s. Cant be any new information out there now, can there?
One of these days i would love to see that mythical shotgun round that can penetrate a bad guy, but somehow not go through standard sheet-rock.

Interesting that they call their “political news and commentary blog” by the name “War Room”…I guess I’ll never understand the antis.

The author says, about Laughner: “Indeed, the killer had broken no laws until he shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords at point-blank range.”
That statement alone is inaccurate. Laughner lied on his 4473 about his marijuana use, which means he falsified the form, which is a felony. So, the pure fact is that Laughner committed a felony to get the pistol. He had in fact broken laws before he shot Rep Giffords.

But PawPaw,
That’s our collective faults and according to leftist ideology, you and I must be punished with more restrictions on our rights. But the elite ruling class and their hired guns enjoy immunity.

“So much hate and ignorance coming from that side that it’s kind of depressing.”
That’s all they have J T. They certainly dont have facts and intelligence on their side.

His last paragraph is made all the more deliciously ironic by that complete and utter lack of facts, figures, statistics, or numbers to substantiate his position.

Why is it leaning to the right blogs just analyze or report on topical info, whereas the leftist blogs have no qualms about blurring the line of fact and fiction to prove a point?
Huh. That sounds like an 80s comedy routine.

In other news today, millions of law-abiding gun owners in the United States didn’t commit any crimes.
There are so many of us that the few nitwits who commit crimes with guns are statistically insignificant. They have no facts, only hype.

Anyone figure out what he meant by this: “Creeping back home, the lads overheard me shucking shells from my 20 gauge pump, an unmistakably chilling sound.” Sounds like, to prepare to confront an intruder, he is unloading his shotgun. Or did he know the “lads” were coming back, so he was working the action to make scary noises? Frequently, when reading an anti-gun piece, one finds an author claiming to know about guns from experience. Then they write something that just doesn’t quite sound correct.

David: Watched a TV show – bad guy holding a group of people hostage. Spent 50 minutes waiving his pistol around. Then one of the hostages got uppity and told the bad guy that the good guy was going to come kick his ass. What does the bad guy do? With a nice intimidating click-chick sound he pulls the slide back on his gun and chambers a round.
WTF? NOW you put one in the pipe? Dumbass Hollywood.
