Cold Steel Kukri
I have one of those. I used it to clear out some brush behind our fence this summer. Does a good job.

I too own that same model kukri. It is not as thick as some native Indian kukris I have seen, being made from some sort of flat-sheet metal, but the edge holds pretty well and the balance is good enough for regular use in the garden.
I have been called “Swing Blade” by neighbors when they see me out working the fence line weeds with it.

I’ve used one to clear brush around my parents house. Honestly it’s a lot more machete than kukri. Cheap though so even if it isn’t the greatest, you’re getting your money’s worth.

I agree about the thickness, but it is definitely not something to scoff at. I was a bit displeased at the black finish it had. I removed most of the Cold Steel sticker and used some solvent to get the rest. My rag turned black and my blade became a dark metal color. So I took the rest of it off. It still looks cool though.
And as for the edge, it is okay. I had to re grind it so that the angle was equal for both sides (made sharpening a lot less of a hassle that way.
Still, it is good for the price I paid (sheath was pretty much crap though…could have done with a thumb break and gotten rid of the extraneous snap in the middle.

You haven’t done Practical Combat until you’ve done it with a Woodsman’s Pal. Never fenced with a corn-knife?

if people are into real kukris, the best place to get them is Himalayan Imports. They have a forum on bladeforums, where you can get some pretty good deals too.

For the price, Cold Steel blades are hard to beat.
Though much more expensive, I’m a big fan of Murray Carter’s laminated blades utilizing Hitachi Blue and White Steel cores. You want to clear some brush? Take a look:
