Sounds a little unreasonable
TN has a law proposed to take DNA samples from those committing a felony.

How much you want to bet none of the samples will be destroyed in order to protect the children….

Hey, you actually have to be arrested before the DNA sampling is required. So criminals don’t have to stop in the middle of their crime spree to send the sample in to the government. No inconvenience to the criminal, so what’s the problem?

I don’t have a problem with doing it to violent criminals.
The problem with doing it to all felons is that stupid shit like filling in a mudpuddle in your back fourty is a felony these days.

I just got through the first couple lines and already found a big problem. If I am accused of a felony I would have my DNA taken from me and then I am supposed to trust the state to destroy it if I am found not guilty or the charges are dropped or reduced? Why won’t they take them after a conviction?
Needs a lot of work. And then I don’t even want to bother getting into stupid felonies.
