Re the .44 Bulldog: I had a Rossi 720 which was my carry & bedside gun for a number of years. Solidly made, not terribly accurate, but good enough for its intended purpose. I traded it off when I realized that .44 Special didn’t fit my overall needs as well as other calibers, and my carry needs changed as well. Like you & your Bulldog, though, I miss it sometimes. I seriously contemplated asking Hamilton Bowen how much he would want to bore it out to .45, & cut it for moon clips.
