Infringement of Second Amendment rights must be criminalized. Infringers should be fined and imprisoned.
Infringement does not mean abrogation. Abrogation is the complete denial of a right, while infringement is merely the least possible offense to a right.
Unfortunately, the USC ruled in Heller that the Second Amendment effectively says, “…the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed too much.” They effectively disallowed abrogation, while allowing infringement.
Still, that ruling doesn’t preclude criminal penalties for infringing politicians. Bloomberg belongs in prison. Let’s have a federal law that puts him there. Either he behaves himself, and treats the rights of others with respect, or he goes to the pokey. His choice.
