Quote of the Day
I witnessed someone calling Ron Paul people a “cult” while eating a cake shaped like Reagan’s face at #CPAC.
Heh.

Isn’t a cult a religion whose founder hasn’t died yet?

No, no, no.
I belong to a committed group of believers that are united around a common cause.
YOU belong to a cult.
See the difference? 🙂

Just because it’s humorously ironic doesn’t mean it’s not true.

definition of cult: every other religion but mine :p

Cult; a pseudo religion used for controlling people through manipulating and capitalizing on their fears and desires. I think that would apply to most every organized religion, including political parties, at some stage.
Anyway, that’s a nice bit of irony right there, Uncle.

The most radical political cultists are those who “trust the men of their choice” and don’t care to “bind them down by the chains of the Constitution” in the words of Thomas Jefferson.
Part of the radical agenda voted for by these cultists is to support those who refuse to defend our own borders and who facilitate the immigration of the very group from which most all of those who use terrorism come. And then their reactionary response is to wage unconstitutional, undeclared wars against countries who have no military ability to attack us and then create a police-state apparatus (Homeland Security–Patriot Act–TSA) which attacks the Bill of Rights and targets all of us as potential terrorists. Additionally this bi-partisan political ilk bows before the altar of globalism and hands our economy over to international managed trade to gut our nation’s industrial base.
So if I’m one who opposes that radical agenda, supports “the guarantee of a republican form of government” (Article IV, Section 4) and supports politicians of similar thinking, I’m a cultist??!!

A fanatic is anybody a bit more radical than the person calling them a fanatic. Funny – fascists calling other people cultists. Strange world.

I have heard that there are other sky god cults who also ritualistically eat their leader.
