No….no…NO.
Police respond to an emergency call of a domestic dispute with shots fired at 757 Numbnut Street. The idiot cop thinks he heard 797, not 757. (this is the most common mistake, as 5 and 9, when spoken, are the most mistake-prone by the listener)
Cop and backup go all Rambo, start pounding on the wrong front door, waking the resident who promptly grabs his gun because he was roused from a sound sleep by loud incessant POUNDING on his door and HOLLERING by multiple voices.
He gets downstairs and is pointing said gun at the door….cop peeking in front window sees homeowner pointing a weapon at a LEO who is responding to an emergency call, and now this homeowner who was minding is own business and now defending himself and property gets 10 years jail time?
There had better be language in the bill that protects the homeowner from the idiocy of the city cops.

You forgot the part restrain the homeowner, kill his dogs, and shoot anyone who is sleeping…

And more trying children as adults. Tell me, if the 15-year-old is acquitted, does he earn the right to vote, smoke, drive and sign legal documents?
Either he’s an adult or he isn’t. What does carrying a gun have to do with it?
