TSA is just a show.

The article says the scanners only work if the operator is paying attention. That is one of the most subtle burns I’ve heard ever………………. because if she were hot and in a body scanner……

I love the “We test them all the time, we’re just not gonna tell you the results” bit from the TSA. They expect us to just trust them that this was a fluke.
Not only are they responsible for evaluating their own performance, but they don’t have to tell anyone the actual results of their evaluations.
I wish my job performance was tested like that.

I know of a private security bloke who claims he routinely flies with his gun, along with knives and a few ASP batons.
They treat people like criminals at the airport to make you feel safe.

Having flown this past weekend through 3 major airports security procedures and having watched while they repeatedly scanned my carryon and had NO idea what they were looking at, or what if might possibly have contained, I have no doubt that anyone serious about getting a firearm through would be able to do so easily.
They repeatedly rescanned, then changed the contrast weighting, etc., and still never changed the positioning of the bag. If I were so inclined, I could very easily conceal almost anything among the items I was carrying and they would never have picked it up.
True Security Theater!!
