We don’t need due process, we have bureaucrats
State Rep. Bill Cunningham (D-Chicago) hopes to give school officials the ability to report troubling behavior in students and prevent people they think could be dangerous from buying guns or ammunition.
Yes, upset your teacher, and they can go to the state police and revoke your Illinois firearms ownership card.

That’s how they roll in democratic peoples’ republic of IL. For example, if there’s ever an issue with your kid, you get on DCFS’s list, and there you stay. At that point, kiss everything goodbye, as they make it perfectly clear to anyone paying attention that the kids run the show. Then they wonder why the little bastards are such little bastards. I’ve eyewitnessed this more than once. It’s sick and sad.

While I am opposed to this bill, as well as the existence of the FOID itself, I am seeing a flaw in this State Representative’s plan. It would seem to me that an Illinois resident would have an FOID because that resident owns firearms and ammunition. Unless revoking the FOID somehow magically transports the resident’s firearms and ammunition to some secured armory, the bill doesn’t even do what its author claims.
I will breathe a sigh of relief for all Illinois residents when their state finally takes the vote away from the deceased. (That is how they keep electing these fine specimens of intellect, is it not?)

The answer is clear, and who better to inform the public than the neo con we love to hate, Dick Morris.

Drug testing all high school kids in the name of the war on drugs is a wonderful thing, aside from the false positives, not explaining how often, who pays for, or anything else, good ole Dick has it all figured out for us…

I hope they do it.
On the grounds that the inevitable lawsuit will hurt them, and with any luck remove the very idea of a FOID.
