Nine years in the Army. I did full auto: M-16, M3A1, M-37, M-2, M73, M-219, M-85. On the civvy side I’ve done 7.62×39 and 9mm.
Full auto is a lot of fun when somebody else is paying for the ammo.
For most folks, though, it’s a handy proposition for turning money into noise.

Without federal interference, most things about firearms would be cheaper. Not just FA.

“Without federal interference, most things about firearms would be cheaper.”
And safer. The safety sear cut on the FAL design is forbidden here, making the design more prone to OOB ignition. That’s not the only bastardized design either, it’s just the one that comes to mind first for me.
